Hi

I need a peice of steel tube 10mm id, 100mm long, 2 or 3 mm wall.

anybody got an offcut.

We have various sizes of pipe at work with various wall thickness will have check the charts to see which size and schedule, probably something like 1/4 schd 40 might do the job, if we don't have it in steel we will have some in st/stl

Steel would be great, will need to be able to Mig it to a Plate.

Ill check tomorrow when im back in work, can weld st/stl to steel if you use st/stl welding consumables, ill check with the steel first

Sorry just got round to checking, we've only got suitable tube in stainless steel

Thanks for looking, I only have access to a Mig welder with steel wire and CO2 as gas, so SS is out.

For our purposes, it perfectly possible to weld stainless to steel with MIG.

The weld won't be as strong as the mother materials, bu¨t survivable.

Looks ideal, only problem is I only need about 100mm, probably nearer 80mm.

Hi there, new to the forum.

I was looking for something simmilar, but what I need is more in the region of 10mm id x 25mm od 300mm long. The 10mm id is the important part. The od isnt that important, but the closer the better.

Anyone have that in offcut or a link where it can be found?
