  • Speed 900 mounting plates

    Hey,
Recently acquired 2 of those speed 900 clones from eBay, did not come with mounting plates (which i seem to remember was made of some sort of composite?). Was wondering if anybody had a few of these kicking around that i could have? Im sure i could get them online but thought i would try and blag a few from here first :P
    Thanks!

does it have to be the proper ones that come with speed 900s? i have a template for drilling the motor mounting holes and could have a bash at making you a pair of mounts.

That would be great Jonny, thanks!
Incidentally do you have any idea how combat ready that cutting disk i got from you was? It would be a great substitute for a drum.

Are those Speed 900 clones any good? They don't give any sort of Torque rating and are a fraction of a price but there are plenty of 12v motors kicking about.

the cutting disc i assume is mild steel so you might want to harden in before you use it, an Australian bot uses one for a drum.

i'll try and make some mounts this weekend, if anyone else wants one let me know

So far they seem okay, theres a little surface wear/corrosion on the outside (as the seller stated) but thats not a issue. I always knew they weren't going to be as good as the real things, but they seem to work well for me.
