  • Any Heavyweight robots about?

Im hoping to buy a pre-built heavyweight to enter into events like Robots Live or Roaming Robots. Any about? I saw an american robot a while back called bountyhunter. I was too late. And whats a good price to pay? £2000 or less or more?

If we ( me & my dad) knew how! Oh! i just had a brain wave! Ill just ask Paul Snook! (Creator of Tetanus) as my aunt knows him in person. He is a part of her band. He has scrapped Booster, Stuck parts of 1 to his bike and tetanus 2 is intact!

I would really suggest starting with a feather and working your way up. If you don't have the skills to build one, you shouldn't buy one, as you wont ever be able to fix it. Buying robots can be more trouble then its worth.

Best thing is to read through the forum, everything you need to know has probably already been asked (most of the time, on more than one occasion). Get along to an event as have a look at the robots and chat to the roboteers, big shows aren't the best place for this, but something like Snibston is ideal.

I agree with alan, i wouldn't just buy a heavyweight- don't run before you can walk

i'd been doing feathers for a couple years then started making my own heavy, but lack of time forced me to give up on that for now so i bought Smidsy off johnno which it turns out for what its worth im going to be now rebuilding anyway lol so i didn't really get anywhere with trying to buy a working heavy
