they are pretty cheap as you normaly find them in most online rc places and ebay, about £50 delivered with compatable rxs being £7

be warned, i've bought 3 DX5 setups, and on all 3 the RX's have failed, and i think a 4th is about to. Transmitters seem ok, but i suggest you avoid the AR500 rx's.

I have the Planet 5 setup, and it is very good. I don't have any experience with others, but this works very well for me.

Any 2.4Ghz radio gear is good for a feather, really. So, yes. I am using it in my feather. Check the build diaries and you can see videos.

spectrums are far, far better than plannet 5, hell even the cheapy £25 radiolink sets are better

in my opinion of cource :P
