2-3mm is an option for the roof, but then you'll need some external supports, or it will sag , and not a little bit.

is 5mm polycarb not way over the top? Surely 2mm would be more than enough?
With the amount of flex in a panel that big 2mm should barely get scratched. Much cheaper too.

I have a rather large dent/cut in some 1.5mm titanium on my ant I would definately say 2mm is way to thin against todays spinners.

It all depends on whether the ants can hit the walls directly or not. You'll need 4-5mm polycarb if they can and less if they can't.

if it's for fighting then weld/bolt together some 2 or 3mm steel sheeting to form a tray 20mm high then cover the top with some 2 or 3mm poly, job done.
