  • Heavy weight speed contoller

Hi I'm after a speedcontoller for heavy weight im building it will be used to power 2 wheel chair motors so needs to be suitable for them. Im aware im going to need high Amp rated ones but have no clue on how high so am hoping any potential seller will be able to help me out in getting the right one.

    Thanks.

Mike had a few available a while back (I bought a vantec off him). Not sure if he'll still have any.

I suggest a Wotty (probably a 180) last i heard they were £290, cheaper than most new and cheap to get fixed.

Where do they sell them wottys as google keeps searching worry instead of wotty even when I click search wotty instead it still shows worry.

as ian for the datasheet. as far as i'm aware he doesn't make the wotty 180 instead he makes the latest version the wotty 360 ev (£360)

as far as i'm aware he still makes both, they are basically the same but the 180 handles 180amps and the 360 can take 360amps. They're just plug and play, nothing fancy like a Roboteq.

wotty 360 is 160 amps dual, i dunno how much current wotty 180s can handle but i know it's less. wotty 360 is compatible with spektrum radio gear the ev in wotty 360 ev stands for extended voltage, the wotty 360 ev can handle up to 36v where as the non ev wotty 360 can only handle up to 32v. i'm unsure on the voltage handling capabilities of the wotty 180.

i know if i was buying a new wotty i'd rather spend the extra £70 and get the latest version for the spektrum capabilities alone.

                    a 180 does work on a Spektrum

ummm forgive my ignorance but what's the issue with spektrum gear?

                        Re: Heavy weight speed contoller

The output timing is slightly different to other makes, so was cuasing errors, but that was fixed a few years back.
