  • ESC very urgent

    Hi all,
I have a big problem. I have just about finished my new featherweight in time for RIAT, but I have found that the 10a sabretooth can't take the motor current. I need a speed controller for RIAT. Does anyone have a spare that they could lend/sell me at the event. Many apologies for it being such short notice,
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Re: ESC very urgent

in the nicest way possible , i hate to say i told you so , remember back at robots live burgess hill i said that that esc wont be able to handle the drill motors (i had thants , the one that got creamed by the arena flipper ) . My FW is undergoing a rebuild and the esc block is sitting here idle ( it powers drill motors in my FW ), if there anyway you could pick it up your welcome to borrow it for this event , but i live in sussex(near brighton) and im not going to riat , so unless you are nearby and can pick it up , i cant help . ive pm'd you my email , if you want to discuss further  .

      Re: ESC very urgent

Thanks for your offer, but brighton is a little far for me.
Well, to be frank, your concern about the drill motors is unfounded. That was Blitz, which is currently running like a dream with a Sabretooth 2x10A. This is a very different kettle of fish. I am talking about Donner, which is running two 50:1 reduction MFA motors with 19cm diameter wheels. Also, I have a possible solution in the pipeline at this very moment, but I will have to see whether it works.
      Thanks again,
      Alex

Sorry for any confusion caused. I made a very stupid mistake, and now have the robot working.
