  • wheel chair motors wanted

ok , i created this account when i began construction of my HW , as its my first HW im not spending a lot of money. I looked into bosch motors but they are all too expensive for a first bot.

So my question is , does anyone have a pair of identical or similar wheel chair motors , pretty much any size , voltage (up to 48V) and speed as long as they are similar . im not sure of a price so name one .

Ive already looked all over ebay , friday ad and other places , unless i can find somebody to buy them on my behalf , i cant order of ebay as im 14 and my mum hates the thing with a vengance !

I dont mind what condition they are in , but any wheel chair or electric mobility scooter motors would be a god send .

go to a mobility shop they often have spares might be more expensive but you will know the history of the motors

          Re: wheel chair motors wanted

ive been to every mobility shop i could think off , they all want to sell me spares at 300-400 each and they all said that broken units (ie the brushes are gone which is easily repairable) are sent back to the manufacturer

They're nuts. I got a pair of old motors with the wheels attached for 30 euros from a mobility shop (thats 26 pounds roughly).

Your welcome to have it FREE.
It is complete and was functioning ..... but the batteries have found another home.

                  email me to discuss collection.
