  • Robot Promoter

Now this is a strange request even for this place!!
I€™m looking for an unfinished or complete but not wanted robot similar to one of the boxing (robots) that I can convert into a promotion type robot.
A sort of wheelchair base with a humanoid top that I could fit some sort of screen to for promotional/advertising work.
Needless to say this has been prompted by the discussion about robot future and I would like to help out by trying to make some sort of advertising robot, for that and for local businesses and events.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

      Re: Robot Promoter

I still have Drone, which is basically 2 wheelchair motors in a metal box with wheelarches. It was designed as a sparring partner and not for combat, but there was designed to take a lot of punishment and is fairly heavy.

I believe there are 2 4QD NCC70 24V speed contollers inside (might not be, I would have to check), but the mixer is gone.

I will look for a picture of it. If interested I can take it with us to Fairford.

Here is Drone, please ignore the Wuppies.

It's built to last so pretty heavy, but it has a lot of steel to weld things on and a low center of gravity so it won't topple over easily.

            Re: Robot Promoter

Thanks for the pictures Leo, you have a heavyweight pusher there. It is a bit too heavily built for what I had planned plus I was thinking of a 4-wheeled base for the robot.
But you may get offers form people wanting a their first heavyweight machine.

            Thanks again
