Hi Roboteers,

I have received a lot of feedback from people who would have attended the Yorkshire FRA Social on 15th July, except that it clashes with the Fairford event which they are attending.

I think that it would be a good idea to postpone the social until after the Summer break. Between mid-July and early September there will be many families away on holiday and of course there is the big event at the end of August. So I am proposing to make the date Saturday 16th September at 7.30pm. I have checked that the Sun Inn is available that day and have transferred the booking to that day.

Do let me know if that date gives you any problems. I will circulate a proper invitation nearer the day.

Hi Roboteers.

I have had to put the next Yorkshire FRA Social back 2 weeks to 30th September, because a clash in dates with other family activities.Sorry about that.I have reconfirmed the Sun Inn again.

The pub is about 5 miles from Junction 38 on the M1. Please pass on this invitation to any other roboteers who would like to attend and who dont read this forum.

It is a year since we had a Yorkshire FRA Social (September 2005). This is in part because I was away in China.I guess that we will have a general chat about how things have gone since we last met.

Im still planning to go, will be comming stright from the FRA commitee meeting, Ill see if I can get dinner there, so Ill probably be there quite a bit earlier than this.

We had a good Social on Saturday 30th September. There were 10 people present, some of whom had travelled over 90 miles to get there. We picked up on all the gossip and had some serious technical discussions as well. I learnt a lot.

Next time I will warn the pub to expect people who want a meal. This aspect didnt go very well as very few people wanted meals at previous socials in Flockton and no plans had been made by the pub for food for those attending. 3 ate at the pub but 5 of our number who arrived later had to go to another pub to eat, before joining us later. Never mind, well do it better next time.
