I have noticed that most of the roboteers/competitions are in the midlands or north of england, are there any other robot builders in or around london like me? It would be nice if we could start having our own socials so we can share facilities/knowlege help each other with transport to events etc. post (sayng your weight class) if you are in or around london so i can get an idea of the numbers to see if it is worth organising a social

Yes, lots of them.

Dependent on where you are in London.
North London is covered by the south midland region
East London by east anglia region
South + West London by the south eastern region

There is no reason not to hold a social event near where you live on a round robin basis, it would be preferable for you to be a member of the FRA though.
