868-915 MHz radio control allowed?

Hi,

I've seen that the rc-world has started to switch over from the 2.4ghz frequency band towards 868-915 MHz protocols (e.g. Crossfire). I'm pretty sure that I've seen some BattleBots teams use a crossfire module on their transmitter.

Are crossfire (868-915 MHz) transmitters/receivers currently allowed by FRA? If not, is it the intention to have it be allowed in the (near) future?

It isn't currently permitted under the currently published FRA rules. 459MHz is in all weight classes but not 868-915MHz. I don't know if the FRA are planning to permit this, it'd need field testing presumably which at the moment isn't possible since events aren't running at the moment.
