  • Robot Wars old tv show/renewed tv show/tour questions

Thought I'd try to ask here first. I'm just curious. For the old (Robot Wars) tv show what was the max height (allowed) for lightweights and heavy weights? For the upcoming tv show what's the max height (allowed) for heavy weights? And what about the Robot Wars tour what's the max height (allowed) for lightweights and heavy weights? Thank you guys!

There were dimensions back in the day however those have long since been forgotten.

Height wise, it essentially has to fit through the arena door. If it's taller than around 6ft you might start to have issues.

Also, lightweights aren't fought these days, it's featherweights.

Thank you. Cool. Aaah so the touring Robot Wars doesn't list that under their rules. And unless there's a big weight difference, it's the same thing. >__>

Weight is the most important factor with regards to dimensions as it dictates how large everything can be. You could build something 2m tall wide and long but you would only be able to armour it in flimsy materials. Machines have generally been getting smaller with the use of hardox wearplate due to the weight involved.

No, no, I meant lightweight vs "feather weight". The weight. Unless there's a big difference those 2 things mean the same.

The lightweight class is double that of the featherweight class.
