The rules say 10S max for Lipos, or have they changed that?

Agm's are dangerous lol, that's why the weight went up. Unfortunatly people make decisions on the current benefits rather than thinking of the long term causes.

I think we need to evolve the rules to create diversity, yes there will be short term dissadvantages in having to modify robots etc but the long term advantage of increasing the spectacle of the sport and inspiring audiences to get involved is far more important.

So when discussing rules (apart from those related to safety) please think of the long term benefits and how it effects the sport as a whole.

yeah a rule to encourage diversity would be good, as I know my robots are dull, dull to watch and dull to drive, but im trying to change that. But there could be a rule about not building a robot similar to a robot from another team? that may create some diversity? or a team event could do this, where the teams are made up of one robot of each type? or ream robot styles, like the toons strips, or the big nipper teams overly engineered shiny robots etc means the audence can have an idea of whats going on

Just read this thread - all seems ok to me..

One thing i would like to see would be a mention of lipo's being inspected by tech checkers prior to the full technical inspections...

Some people get pi$$y when asked to remove there lipo for inspection during tech check. Which i see fair with some teams, who i've have seen in previous years using there spare NiCad packs as a cradle during there tech check, or others who strap there lipo's to moving components within there robots, as by now the state of there packs could be questionable.
