The robots are back once again€¦ but this year with a difference.
Using the educational theme, linked with UK Robotic Games.

We challenge the Robot Wars Feather Weights, and the UKRG champions to take on some of the UKRG Challenges.

Both the 5m x 5m arena, and the Running Track will be used, therefore Games including the Assault Course, Sumo, Relay Race and many more will test the robots in a different way other than the usual smash and crash.

An interesting new concept, which should provide an interesting result. How long will it be before the robots break all the rules, and start fighting I wonder ???

    More info to Follow.

John, that was cruel...Would we ever be involved in such a flagrant breech of the rules?

(Damn right we would given half a chance! )

That said, It sounds like this could be an interesting event!

              yes boxer would be great.

And a number of heavies on display would be good, but not too many though.

More info as an when, maybe we can come up with a few new challenges !!

Hopefully the new mini-Kronic (Weed) will be done by then. If it is we would love to come along as Brighton is always a good event.

ive just got one of the fliers for modelworld and they dont seem to be making a big thing about advertising the fighting robots this year, there is no mention of it in any context at all.

Hi Guys, well I have met Tim down in Brighton and have nailed down details for the 2006 show.

Teams who have expressed an interest have been contacted, to confirm.
Due to the new revised format of this show, this being the first year, we have a limited number of places.

If you do want to attend, then let me know, and you will a) be put on a reserve list as a couple of teams haven€™t confirmed as yet, but b) we may be able to find space for you, you may just not be eligible for a hotel / fuel allowance.

No promises but I will always try and fit you in..

More information will be posted on the website over the next few weeks and after christmas.

                          John

James, my experience of Model World and of Brighton in particular, the arrangements will be the same as always:
Loading/unloading in Russell Road (at the loading bay at the back of the Centre)
Free exhibitor parking at the Park and Ride - by the look of it further away at the Racecourse

                              guys,

This time it will be different, they are running a park and ride service from the Race course.

They have taken a gamble, and made an investment into this service, more busses, more regular, and can make use of the bus lanes.

They are offering this to public aswell at a cost.

So it will be the same as normal, just the bus leaves from a different place.

More specific details will be sent nearer the time but by the sounds of it, should be better.
