  • Robodojo Autumn Featherweight Championship 25th November

    The first Robodojo Featherweight tournament.
Featuring both full combat and Sportsman class; see @robodojouk for ruleset
Because we are very limited on pit space and other recent events have suffered heavily from drop outs there is a non refundable event fee of £10 to guarantee a place. We will also be running a reserve list for those who are not sure they will get their build finished in time. Reserve listers will be contacted 2 weeks before the event if there are any places remaining.

Please complete the google doc to register
    https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...orm?usp=pp_url
Note : The event will be held in a CNC workshop and as such is not child friendly.

It is a different Ruleset, same weight class as Featherweight. Link to the current build rules
          https://www.facebook.com/18128422056...6043571025454/

Ian or Alex will be able to tell you the most up to date one

Sportsman class is a very diluted feather class, mainly aimed at new roboteers getting into the hobby, first time builders, or for experienced roboteers to try out new ideas before implementing on full combat feathers.

For example our full feather class has a tip speed of 200mph, where as the sportsman is 20mph.
Armour on sportsman can only be wood or plastic, but not hardened steel etc..

we are wanting the vast majority of feathers to be full combat class..

Thank you for putting on a great local event Ian and the team, it was a very popular
and we ended up sharing our 6ft table with five more robots.
Can't wait for the next featherweight or sportsman event when we should be more
Ready and not have a overweight, unsteerable, weaponless, lack of traction robot.
Great fun although I was fatigued and was sorry not to be there to help
              dismantle the Arena.
