Robodojo programme of events September 2018 to March 2019

So that folks can plan, listed below are the dates of the main Robodojo activities for the next six months. They are open to both members and non members. Other testing days/evenings/workshops will be announced to members in September.

September Sat 15th 2pm+:Social; Bring your Ants,Beetles and Feathers for chat,demos and whiteboards.

October: Sun 14th or Sat20th Ant Event (date to be confirmed)
Sun 21st Family friendly Day ( Whiteboard Beetles, Ants, FW demo, Footie, Balloons, Kbots etc)

November: Sun 24th FeatherWeight open @KB Tech

December: Sun 16th Xmas social

January: Sat/Sun 26/27th Featherweight open

February: Sun 17th Beetleweight open

March: 3rd Antweight open
17th Featherweight open

April onwards to be announced in early January
Signups for the 'Open' events will go live 5/6 weeks before each event.

Looking forward to more events myself, and meeting some more of the cool people surrounding the spobby, I'm definitely going to try and make at least a couple of them.

Myself and Colin (Team Death) will definitely be there for September event, and probably as many after that as possible. I know you're only looking at whiteboard matches for the September date, but are you accepting, or rather can the arena contain, spinners for this event?

Yes the Beetle arena can demo featherweights so please bring any along. There will be some stuff to play with. We also hope to be able to give more information about the Robodojo Featherweight arena.

Hi folks,
We have several events scheduled before Christmas.

Next event is an Antweight event on Sunday 21st October. Waiting for confirmation but hopefully this will be a collaboration between Robodojo and Sheffield Uni Roboteers. We know this is just after AWS but we want to offer an alternative for folk who either can't make the AWS date or for whom it's too far to travel.

Then in November on Sunday 25th We are holding our first Featherweight event; apologies for the date confusion in an earlier post. This will feature both full combat and a new sportsman class competition (see seperate post for ruleset) in the featherweight arena that many people will have fought in at Gadget show live, Insomnia and many other events run by Robochallenge, but which is now the Robodojo Arena.

Our last event of the year will be the Christmas social on Sunday 16th December.
Signups for the Antweight and Featherweight events will go up in just over a weeks time.

There has been also been some interest in a family event. I'm looking into this and wil post further when I have a date and a venue.

There seems to be some conflicting event dates.
Your earlier message say's 20th Oct for AW and 21st for BW. However your last message states 21st Oct for AW's with no revised date for BW's - Can you please confirm the next BW event please?

Beetleweights are welcome at the November Event but it is primarily for Featherweights. The next dedicated BW event is Sunday 17th February. The intention was to hold a BW tournament in October but unfortunately that has not been possible. We hoped folk wouldn't mind too much as the BW Euros are in a couple of weeks time.

I think its July 28th from what Ian said at the last one.

Yes the next Robodojo Featherweight event (round 4 of the championship) will be on July 28th. The last two events of the year are pencilled in for October 6th and November 24th. Signups for July will be going live asap.
