I didn't get a e-mail about Herne Bay until a couple of days before the event (the Thursday or Friday I think) so I am not too worried just yet.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I had the same thing with Manchester a few months back. It can be a bit unnerving especially when you're paying for hotels etc. I imagine the organizers have a lot on their plate as it is as well as their own real world jobs.

Received email, not sure how things work though. I presume each competition (6pm Sat, 12noon Sun and 3:30pm Sun), are separate events not continuous. So if knocked out during Saturday, Sunday 12nooon is a new event to start again, and again for the 3:30pm Sunday event??? Guess all become clear when I arrive Saturday, see you all there. Cheers

Kind of. The competition runs throughout the weekend but the events themselves are separate. It does make sense when attending

I see they are asking teams to arrive by 3pm on Saturday which is
better for me as I'm a fair distance away in York-I thought we would need
to be there well before 12 pm but I see the start is 6pm-it's looking like
a Hotel stay now-where's everyone else stopping?.

Hi Cliff, the competition runs across all 3 shows (first round Saturday night, following rounds on the Sunday), there are still plenty of fights to go into if you go out (you dont have to go into the comp either if you dont wish to). The rest of the show is made up of 'whiteboard' fights, before the show a whitboard will be setup with the fight spaces, any competition fights will be added by the crew. Any spare fights are free for you to enter as you wish, just put your name in which ever fight you want to go into (most fights will have a limited amount of enteries just to balance the show). If this is your first event, make yourself known to one of the crew when you arrive and they can help you out.

Thanks for clarification Blazerbotics, I kinda understand what is happening now but will certainly make myself known as suggested.
