Attention all Hardox users - Steel Prize 2017 (apply now) http://www.steelprize.com/
Hi everybody,
I work as a technical advisor for SSAB, the company who make Hardox. Based on some previous threads, I know many of you use novel and exotic steels in your robots e.g. hard martensitic steels such as Hardox 600 and potentially some ultra-high-strength structural steels such as Strenx 900 and above. The Steel Prize (May 9-11th 2017) is aimed at recognising innovation with steels and is very much aimed at engineers/designers/inventors.

The winner receives a monetary award and a great marketing/visibility opportunity. The award, held in Stockholm, also includes a networking event, mill tour at on of our mill facilities where we make Hardox and also a special technical program is available to all those interested. This program will include seminars and workshops on topics such as design with high-strength steels, optimal fabrication and optimal structures.
The deadline for applications is the 1st of February 2017. Please feel free to contact me via this thread if you need support with your application and are interested in attending the event.
Its likely many of us are signing off for the festive season this week, so I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
