Well this was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Shame about the Gadget Show but kinda saw it coming to be honest.

I've been saving my holidays for a potential Series 2 of Robot Wars but had booked 10 days off in August for working on a heavyweight and, conveniently, this event falls within those dates. So Drumroll and Onyx signed up

We might be able to make it. Parents are in France so talking to them and discussing options is a little tricky.

Conker 3 just needs a new weapon motor, and Binky still runs. We were planning to build Binky 2 for GSL next year, but we won't rush the build for this event so I think Binky will get one more event before retiring.

Hotel booked and taken an extra day off work on the Tuesday so I'm not doing a deadly 8-hour drive on Monday night.

This is a dream come true for me in a way. I am volunteering in the BYOC hall at Insomnia so I can wander over and watch on my spare time! Looking forward to this one.

This is excellent news; I regularly attend Insomnia anyway, so once my feather is together I'll definitely be attending all of these. Hope it goes well!

We are going to test a new format for this event which gives everyone lots of battles in 1 big league system.

I'm intrigued as to what the new format is, any chance you could elaborate on how it works?
