Posted on behalf of Roaming Robots.

      To all Roboteers attending Denbigh.
Please be aware that all robots planing to enter the main competition will be weighed prior to competing.
Any robot found to be overweight will be given one chance i.e this event, to compete. You will then be expected to have your robot within weight for any future event.
Those robots that were weighed at the Magna event and found to be overweight will be required to be in weight for Denbigh. (You have already had your one chance!!) If you are found to be still overweight then you will not be allowed to compete in the main competition this weekend or score any points in the RR championship.

      Roaming Robot Crew.

Spent all day lugging 200 chairs, 25 tables, and a 150 seat grandstand (in bits!) Im totally knackered.
The tables got a bit damaged last year and were replaced with new. Please can heavyweight teams bring a sheet of something to protect these tables eg cloth or vinyl. Feathers all will be on the floor. Metal toolboxes kept on floor. No drilling, sawing etc on the tables.
        See you all tomorrow afternoon.

NOTE TO ANYONE STAYING AT THE TRAVELODGE, HALKYN

The postcode that they are giving out, CH8 8RF, seems to be wrong. This seems to be the actual location:
          http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?G2M?X=322040&Y=370240&A=Y&Z=5http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap...370240&A=Y&Z=5

Heres the official Travelodge page, with dodgy postcode:
          http://www.travelodge.co.uk/travelodge/location.php?hotel_id=133http://www.travelodge.co.uk/travelod...p?hotel_id=133

Many thanks to all the teams that came and the Roaming Robots crew. It was a successful event with all the audiences enjoying the show. Congratulations to the winning robots and runners up. Nice to see a Dutch and a Belgium team all the way over in North Wales.
Ive done the sums and it tickets sales raised nearly £2k for the school. Nearly five PCs!!!

What a excelent event! This was my first event as a roboteer and the whole atmosphere was great. Thanks to those teams who helped us out. Roaming Robots did a wonderful job and my team did our bit helping taking the arena down.

Its good to hear how much it raised for the school I attend. But I was just wondering do i get first pick of one of the computers as my robot lasted in the arena longer than yours did Mr.(Rob)Jones! (Only joking)

                    Thanks Again.

Your very welcome Pete, Just glad to know hes OK.
I think a big thank you should go to Rob, Jonno & crew and the roboteers for a fantastic weekend.
We have learned that the best defence you can possibly have against a featherweight spinner is in fact... a small pink pig!! (Dont ask!...its a long story!)
It was nice to be able to run the heavyweight in anger too, even at reduced power..(Is there a photocopier engineer in the house!)
Once again, well done everyone!..A great event!

                        Geoff & John,
                        Team Scorpion.

Tell Shane to get well soon.

He has the job for as long as he wants it, his reactions are mustard.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend and congratulations to all involved

Well done to the winners, somehow Alpha managed to get to another final, maybe i dont need to make the new one after all!

A big thank you to John (scorpion) for sorting Merlins tyre out and Ian for fixing our NiCad pack. Was great fun having all 3 of our heavys in at the same time!

Good to hear it raised alot of money for the school. Well get a report/pics up soon.

Pete - Shanes welcome to keep his piece of Storm II, hopefully had can avoid collecting any other bits like that (most people just ask) P

I forgot to say thanks to all the roboteers for not freaking out at the addition of a 500Kg house robot to the party. Denbigh was a bit of a test to see if the worked ok at a Roaming Robots event and all the feedback from the roboteers and particularly the public was very positive.

...though Chompie should realise that Throttle has a long memory ;o)

Anyway, thanks again to all involved !
