This is a fairly small event which is taking place midweek - however as it represents an arena erected and available for use we thought it was worth posting on here.
XFM has been invited along to the SED show in Milton Keynes. For those who dont know SED is the UKs largest Construction Equipment show (http://www.sed.co.ukwww.sed.co.uk for more details) - if youre ever had a hankering for a look at the latest from JCB, CAT and many more, this is the place to be.
The event is being funded by Briggs and Stratton as part of their trade stand at the show and we have some limited space for some feathers and a couple of heavies to attend the event along with the Briggs and Stratton House Robots, Throttle and Vanguard who will also be on show at the event.
Dont think that the robot involvement is going to be small though, the organisers of SED are already wanting to use their attendance to promote the show - so were expecting lots of interest in robots, and also crucially in roboteering itself and getting interested in the sport.
We cant understate the importance of providing a means for new people to get involved in building robots, and part of our mission for 2005 is not only promoting our own events, but promoting the sport to those people who attend our events - particularaly at events like the Suffolk Show and this XFM event where theres time to stop and chat to the public in a relaxed environment.
If youre interested in coming along with a feather or a heavy, please drop us an email - or post below and well be in contact !
Look forward to seeing you there
