Chris, I thank you for your comment on this and I know you wernt having a dig or targeting anyone in particular but in the end Im responsible for what my son does so I do worry about it. Its no more than any responsible parent would do

Karoline, David wasnt the only little one there. So it may not have been David.
As for driving down the pit, I had a little less control because the robot was upside down and the gyro was turned off. I was trying to go around the pit, but spun in instead.
Yet again I would like to thank the RR crew for a great event, it was well organised and the Magna center is a great venue. Looking forward to the next event.

        Event report online...

Well sone to Rampage for winning the feathers (how do they keep winning??). Well done to Ewe 2 for getting to the final and putting up a good fight, no doubt we will have a rematch at some point First time Merlin has ran without problems. G3s base is bending and Alpha got aload of damage from Little Hitter, so a few repairs will be done for next events.

Well done to all people involved, the arena stood up well. Lets hope its a sign of things to come.

Enjoyed this event and like last year it was a great success, A little disapointed we missed our semi final, but big nipper seems to have the grip back after countless different wheels and configurations.

As promised Ewan here are the pictures of the dints you put in our 1mm Ali side armour, and also having a check over it I noticed you have put a small scuff on our drum.

Gotta say Chris Mk2 looks very nicely put together and well engineered. Look forward to seeing the finished robot.

What motor have you got running the Drum?

Still got to get Zero running.
Fancy a match up Drum-on-Drum if i ever get to the same events as you?

Conundrum Mk1s drum is powered by a 24v Gold Motor at 3:1 off of 24v with the drum weighing 2.5Kg, the drum teeth are 8mm steel bolts.

                  Hang on a second Chris,
What exactly are you proposing to tip the blades with? I hope its not something like tungsten carbide as this wouldnt be allowed on the grounds of being too brittle.

Yeah and you might wanna add that Vertigo was over 14.5kg.
I think you was one of the teams that took the p*ss in terms of using a free buy of being over weight at the first event. Luckly most roboteers allowed you to run since your disc wasnt damaging. But at the next event you need to be spot on 12kg.

Still took the mic on Saturday, and still over weight on Sunday. (It was over 14.5kg Sunday Morning when we weighed it) Better luck next time.

Geoff ive been assured by the machine shop that it is not brittle and will not shatter. The alloy is Stellite which is going to be welded to the mild steel teeth so it is fused together. Stellite is a alloy containing cobalt, chromium, and tungsten, usually used for high-speed, heavy-duty, high temperature cutting tools im assured that it is shock resistant unlike Tungsten Carbide and safe to be used on the bot.
