Since we are expecting a fairly large turnout we'll be looking for everyone to arrive around 10am

Are spectators welcome, our robotics club at school is making some robots to enter but woudo be great if we can bring other people from school interested in robotics. Would be max of 15 people in total bringing 2 robots, most would just be there to watch

Not a problem. We have more than enough space

Will you be running a stack system of robots ready to fight? It would help cut down waiting times.

              Update Time

The last 2 AWS event that we have run in Reading have been two of the largest antweight events yet and we plan to make this years even bigger!

The event is now being sponsored by RoboLaw and the IET Berkshire which has enabled us to finally offer some real prizes for our winners!

We now have a £500 cash pot which will be split for the top 3 as follows

              1st place- £250
              2nd place- £150
              3rd place- £100

On top of that I will be offering a Shockbots robot kit to the best junior roboteer on the day and there will be further prizes from both Shockbots and Mboss.

Hopefully this will give you all something to fight for this time!

Sign ups will close on the 1st March!

                Hi guys,

Just a reminder that AWS 43 will be streamed live from 10.30am today! With over 110 robots attending it is going to be a huge competition.

Great event, very well organised and great atmosphere. Wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Razor Dave for helping us get our robot sorted even if it did end up doing rubbishy! I'm glad to say my robot did respectively and I've finally won my first robot fight! I think it's safe to say our teacher has caught the robot bug so you can expect to see us back again next time!
                    Thanks again,
                    Max

                      You're welcome Max

Your mates need some tips on their spinner I think

I enjoyed the event immensely, even though I lost my nerve after the heats and just bombed badly, but, to be fair, I was beaten fair and square, rather than driving off this time.
Took a few positives from the events: I finally won all 4 of my first fights and I won the fleaweight world series and got 3rd (only because I wasn't allowed to fight my own robot)

Well done to Will for putting on a great event, and to Andrew, Alex and Alisdair for their respective 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
