    There will be whiteboards, but they'll be for the robots in the competition that have been knocked out. You're more than welcome to enter S7 into the competition, if you get knocked out you can take part in the whiteboards but I don't think we're going to have the pit space for non-competing heavies.... and want to ensure that those in the competition who do get knocked out have a good number of other fights to ensure they enjoy the weekend.

    So... enter !

        s7 meaning series 7 lol, and ok thanks and i may just enter then but dont realy wana be goin mad with it as the robot was intended forexpo events and other friendly fights etc

          Robots are built to fight.... Storm II was built way before Series 7, there's no reason that Grim Reaper shouldn't be more than capable of holding it's own in the arena still today ! Get stuck in and fight it

            Calum, you are managing to make this sound like we're forcing you to continue the competition. You could always just drive into the pit, y'know.

              Just an update, the draw will be being done on August 7th which is our media launch day for the event at which the seeds, teams and draw will be done.

                Lots more coming up, including a great media launch day in Norwich on the 7th of August at a secret location - which will include doing the draw for the first round and the announcement of the seeds.

                  Hi Ed

                  Could you confirm that we have a hotel room for this event. We signed up within 5 minutes of the sign ups opening. We checked with some other teams at Newport (Teams Shock and Toon) and they signed up later than us and have recieved confirmation that they have a hotel booking via email, hence our concern.

                    I too am not 100% if I have secured a hotel or not, I signed up as soon as it was open but believe I have not recieved confirmation so would just like some clarification.

                      While we're on the topic, would you mind if I withdraw my application. The machine proved itself unlikely to survive at Newport & I can't see that changing by September.

                        Ceri, that's no problem - don't worry about it, we're not exactly short of robots attending.

                        I can confirm that we have been able to allocate a hotel room to every team that has requested one. Confirmation numbers of your hotel rooms will be sent out prior to the event.

                        1 week to go until the seeds and the draw are announced !

                              Some of us have booked a room for Friday night. Is it possible to link these reservations with yours to reduce the logistics of checking out and in, in between? That would be nice for us and for the hotel, I think.

                                Marien there is no way to link them but you will have your booking number when you check in to give them for the next night. I know they are able to ensure you can stay in the same room from experience. I can also confirm, there is cheap van-friendly parking for about £2 overnight next to the hotel.

                                We plan to send out packs to people with all the details in advance of the event with details like this in.
