The gap will be to big for NST to get stuck in it, besides it was one of my wheels that NST smashed off that totaled one of the screens. Might make it easier to get robots pinned against the wall but as it will be the same for everyone it wont make any difference.

Hopefully our forks can't get jammed in it, then...

It shouldn't make much of a difference to be honest. The gap is only small, and we actually had a few panel's last year like it as we had to do some last minute repairs.

There is still a steel kick plate around the bottom, but there is now an air gap between the top of the plate and the bar at the top.

So if you've a short robot you can just drive out?

Flippers already have a great advantage in that arena!

Yes thats right. We did think of adding new polycarbonate how ever the extra cost doesn't give many benefits so we are going with the box section which should give the walls a longer life and make the arena easier to maintain and breakdown. New floor stickers too!

Does that mean there's no material in between? Like the HW arenas?

Event info will be sent out on Friday. If anyone doesn't receive theirs please let me know. As far as arena refurbs go the main thing is re coating the floor and a new central sticker. Also removing all the polycarb inner screens and replacing them with steel box section along the top.

I don't think searching 'Boner Basher' is going to bring up many favourable results......
