Hi, this might be a daft question but I wondered if there will be any featherweights at this event?

No, featherweights traditionally at least one fight a Robot Wars show. Except at heavyweight championships, where the feathers are obliged to give up their fight time for any over run.

I notice that the featherweights seem to be getting less and less at the events and wondered if it's going to be Robo Challenge only that the feathers are at soon?

Speaking as a predominantly heavyweight team I would hope not. I think it is just the way a couple of shows have worked out, because of time constraints.

These shows have been publicised as heavyweight competition shows, I can't speak for the EOs but I doubt if they are going to change things that much permanently.

My advice "don't panic"

Ok so I'm ok to carry on building my naff non-spinner-proof robot lol.

We generally do 2 fights per show for feather weights.
Apart from the UK champs where we are doing 1 fight per show but allowing extra arena time for you.

It's a hard balance !! :-)

£84 to stay in some holiday express place!!!! Doncaster!!!! I booked a room at the Carabian guest house. still £50 but can't believe the prices.
were are people eating Saturday night???

We wont be eating as we aren't getting into the venue until 730pm, going to be a late one !
