Re: Robots Live! Whitwick - 2nd & 3rd March 2013
Thanks all for a great weekend! Had loads of fun with Maelstrom as we finally managed to get it running properly without jamming our flippers- clocked up 7 OOTA's too which is a new record for us.
Well done to Michael, Adrian and Eruption for a well deserved 2nd place- nearly threw us out in the final but we got lucky. Also well done to Beast for winning the nut!
Re: Robots Live! Whitwick - 2nd & 3rd March 2013
Thanks to Alan and all involved with Robots Live for another fun packed 2 days. Congratulations to Will on winning again and to The Chief Mechanic of Maelstrom for getting it running so well.
We had a mixed weekend, TR2 ended up with a bent axle,Stealth froze up after every flip,4 4 Toon has a problem with its speedo, but Tiny Toon is rocking and ready for the NEC
See you all in 2 weeks
Re: Robots Live! Whitwick - 2nd & 3rd March 2013
Thanks Alan and Robots Live for a great, if busy, weekend! I'd like to see anyone try and top four heavyweight and two featherweight fights in one show!
Well done to Will and Ian for winning the comp again (grr ). I reckon Maelstrom's the best heavyweight about at the minute. Also well done to John for winning the Team Bud Nut with Beast. Hard luck to Alex, I'm sure that link must have got very frustrating by now! Hopefully you'll have it all sorted by Portsmouth.
Eruption's still not right, and my Dad's actually admitted it for once so there really must be something wrong . The flipper sticking up is a major issue that we'll have to sort, and we'll be looking into why it didn't self right against Kronic, never had that happen before. Also Explosion broke for the first time ever in six years!

Thanks to the organisers and everyone who took part, a great weekend.

Picked up a FP system ready for the new featherweight!

I had a great event too...Air was in the pit 1st 3 fights but hey wadda ya do. Goliath was impressive and very well built. Dont want to mess with that one too much i tells ya.. Messing about with Tight arsed Tezza with the rc cars was good fun too. we managed to get in the papers with that one...well thats what the man who took pics and vid said. Well done to Mr Lear for his win and being the first winner of the robotslive trophy. also winning a quadcopter .....and £50 was offered but he declined and said to pass it on... what a nice thought.... Would have took the cash myself tho. Might do a 100 prize the next round or an extra £50..will have a chat to Alan and see what he prefers to do. Well done to Maelstrom too..that robot has evolved into a very nice machine indeed. Mr weston gets a big thanks too for sorting out my DX7 and being a good flipper man in the absence of my wingman...cheers for that mate.
