Is anyone attending this event AND Guildford and would be willing to transport a few parts for some people who have bought some bits and pieces ? Just a couple of motors and potentially an actuator or two.

I'm attending this, but not Guildford - so it would help people save on some shipping £££

Let me know, here or PM

      Cheers

Ooh, will Storm 2 be accompanying you to Edinburgh? One of the robots I'd like to see but haven't managed to yet

Been thrown around England this week by work so only just had time to look back on things from last weekend.

First of all, thanks once again to the Robots Live crew for coming to visit us north of the border! It was the third year in a row the event has taken place and every time I attend, it feels like hardly any time has passed since the last one. The museum folk were saying that attendance had doubled compared to the previous year (which itself was a busy day!) so here's hoping we'll all be visiting again next year

Was nice helping Tony to get Eric up and running in the arena for what I believe was its first battle since it lost to Splinter in the Series 4 heat final. Okay we got pummeled by the English, but since Storm Force went out the arena before Eric was immobilised, Tony's claiming that as victory to become the current Scottish Number 1! (until Gary gets Smidsy running again )

Thanks to everyone who was there for making it an enjoyable day, and thanks to Alan for letting me drive Merlin (badly) in the final HW fight.

And only got a couple of videos this year. First up, Eric's fight:

And the featherweight fight from the 3rd show:

Can't have armour and wheels on at the same time at the moment, so we chose wheels

A choice between armour and wheels? hahaha, sounds like Bitza Mk2's 2012 championship!

And ended up losing. Maybe we should have chosen armour

Just shows us what we've got to work on for next year. In hindsight, we probably shouldn't have focused on T-Bone so muchon our build weekend, we didn't even end up using it for the Chariots event, and got Eric going properly, but never mind. At the very least it's confirmed some suspicions we had about the robot's future.
