I saw an Ad/Article of roaming robots in the local paper (evening post) it goes (with a picture of jonno + rip) like this:
JOHN FLIPS OVER ROBOTS
MEAN machines from the telivision programme Robot Wars are coming to Bristol in an event organised by people who have competed in the cult show.
More than 20 of the robots will be fighting it out at the Whitchurch Sports Centre to give fans an up-close-and-personal look at how they performin real life.
The show is being held by Roaming Robots, A company set up by John Findlay, who has appeared on the popular BBC Two programme twice in the last four years.
John will have his own 4,000 pound robot Ripper, which has a giant attacking flipper able to throw 20 stones-worth or weight, taking part in the two-day event.
Ripper with its aircraft grade titanium and yellow and green paintwork, took two months to make and appeared on the Robot Wars show last year.
John said: the touring show was an idea I came up with two years ago and it has really taken off.
Its the first time weve been to Bristol and were really looking forward to showing people what the robots, which weigh up to 15 stone, can do.
There will be real fights, like on the TV show, and demonstrations as well as explanations about the machines.
The show will be held on Saturday between 7.30-9.30pm and then on Sunday between noon and 2pm and again between 4-6pm.
People can buy the 10 pound tickets on the door or pre-order them on 01275 833 911
Please excuse all the mistakes made by the paper above, but I copied it word-for-word out of the paper
