Can someone give directions from temple meeds (the main railway station) to the location. aka, which buses do we need to catch to get there, and how do we buy tickets (I dont deal with plastic full stop)

That would be really useful for me too, as I looked on multimap and its waaaaaay out in the suburbs. It looks like the last 1% of my journey is going to be harder than the first 99%...

Can you put Weird Alice down for a place. Although were re-designing the inside of the robot we should easily be finished by then. This all depends on us being able to find a 1000 psi relief valve by then.

It looks like Kronic will be only fighting on the Sunday due to driver commitments on the Saturday. Kronic will still be there for both days though but for the Saturday it will only be there for show (unless I can get my Dad to drive, and that WOULD be a show!)

You could always persuade someone else to drive...

Anyway, is that £10 a ticket for each day, or does that cover both days? (and how do we book in advance for those of us who are travelling down?)

                        World Championship Filming Announcement
Competitor Filming to take place at Roaming Robots Bristol event

In order to provide a fantastic live show experience, as well as provide more insight into the human and educational aspect of the event we need to get footage of teams ahead of the World Championships with their robots.

Rather than try to organise something outside of the live events, realising that everyone is busy - Looking through the FRA live events calender, the next big event is the Roaming Robots event in Bristol on the 17th and 18th of July. Were going to use this event and bring along a crew to cover off some of the filming needs that we have. This will include (but not limited to)[*]Interviews with teamsChance to explain how your robot works for the technical viewerCut-away shots of robotsShots of robots running[/list]We understand that our US and European colleagues cannot make it to Bristol for filming, and other arrangements will be made for them where possible, however - we would like all the UK seeded robots (and they are)

Big Nipper, Bulldog Breed, Dantomkia, Firestorm 6, Gravity, Grim Reaper, Kan Opener, M2, Mute, Storm II, Tornado, Typhoon 2, and X-Terminator.

We have quite a lot to cover off with all the teams, not just the seeds in terms of photos and interviews etc ! Its important that we get these extra bits of the show filmed well in advance so that we can step away from the pure entertainment of Robot Wars TM and move towards something held together better enabling us to put on a far more rounded show.

Also, as an aside, weve now had in almost all the entry fees from teams taking part, and well be getting entry packs sent out to teams in the next few weeks !

If you have any queries about the planned filming session at Bristol, please email enquiries@extremefightingmachines.com and if youre going to the event, dont forget to let Roaming Robots know !

Look forward to seeing you all there..... smile for the camera !

(please note that RC wars has now changed its date to the week after this event, so the above post was not needed, sorry)

Should be good to have lots of roboteers together for the last big meet before the FRA championships

Jonno, it looks as if Dantomkia will be going to this event. Mind you, that does depend on another commitment that I have.
