Great event. Really good interval shows with non combat robots and serious metal on metal heavyweights throughout. The feathers were really good too - perhaps there should more feather fights.

Just like to say thanks to everyone at Robots Live for another really good event!!

Maelstrom seems to be running much better than usual lately- managed to get Ripper and Iron Awe out of the arena (if only we could have done that at the O2 ) The final with Big Nipper was a really good fight and had it gone on for just a few seconds more they would have got us in the pit and won.

If anyone has a video of the final could they please post it as our camera died half way through.

Also well done to Shane for winning the featherweights with Seraphim and to Sarah Bell for coming second with Heatwave!

Finally thanks to Rob & Gilbert for letting me have a go with Iron Awe 5 in the final melee yesterday- such a nice robot to drive! (and thats the only fight I've had where I didn't mind Maelstrom being flipped out by an Iron Awe )

Thanks to the RL team for another great weekend, Red letter day, one of my robots actually won something, I wasn't driving this probably had something to do with it.

No robot, but I really enjoyed the event. Especially enjoyed the Nut fight/s, the final & dinner on Saturday night great company. The final was a hard fight to judge with maelstrom just edging it, like Will said Big Nipper really came back hard at the end and another 20 seconds of that would have tipped it.

Big thanks from me to the roboteers that stayed behind to help at the end our ailing crew (mainly me with my bad back). Especially Toby and Sammy who helped out with unscrewing the floor and the manage to get on of the barriers moved across the arena unaided, even if it took them half an hour.

Whereas I took over half the barriers on my own whilst you lot were chin-wagging :P

Very enjoyable event, even though I only got 1 feather fight and Battle Axe broke both my victor fans (I am SO done with victors).

Hi all

Thanks to everybody who attended, and well done to out winners Maelstrom (Can he make it 3 in a row at Worthing?) and Seraph. Nice to see Big Nipper back on form as well, and gave us one of the closest fights i've seen in the final.

Huge thanks to Ed and Dave for the arena, it was a very hard weekend! Thanks to Dave G and Ed H for their usual great job, and all that helped with the arena afterwards (including the venue staff!), and Mike, Ian, Ray and Craig for bringing their other machines along.

We'll be back next year, but before then we'll be down the road at the sea-side in Worthing, then Kidderminster.

I'll try it, but I still need to find out why one side is drawing more than the other. I think the gearbox plate is straight, but welded at an angle, so the drive is smooth, but it may be drawing power from having to pull that side slightly sideways.
