Actually bring on the weekend! Nearly finished playing with boner this afternoon. Should be ready to run with dual speed 900s and a 5s lipo with another hour or two of work.

Still gotta build a modified racer, stock one is ready to go. The ride on still needs more work but it will hopefully get there. Teething issues now more than anything else.

Hi guys not long to go now!

Just to let you all know, we are aware of a few robots that have pulled out. Robots who only have 1 opponent or if the are on their own will not automatically get a by. Where possible we will redraw incomplete heats to get you back up to the full number of opponents to make it fair for everyone.

          Eg.

If there is 3 battles with 2 bots in each these will be split into 2 3 way battles. If there are 2 battle with 2 bots in each they will stay the same. Any one on their own will defiantly get opposition

Surely thats the luck of the draw? If there is a spare robot why can it not just replace one of those that has pulled out?
If in a later round only 1 robot is still running I assume that if it enters the arena it will get 4 points and not just 3? as it would be unfair on that bot and not its fault that it cannot win by knockout.

The idea is so that everyone in the competition has a fair fight for the win. If someone gets full 4 points due to not having to fight it might not be seen as fair to other robot's that have fought for their points.

But then a robot might not make it through to the next round because somebody else's robot hasn't made it into the arena so how is that fair to a reliable robot?
You might win your first 2 fights inside the 3 mins and not go through because of 2 robots being eliminated. So why not just have the draw on the day?

Thinking about it, this gives you the oppertunity to EARN 4 points through a fight, rather than take 4 points as a result of a couple of No-shows, so if points are EARNED its all fair. As I recall 44 Toon was given 3 points as a result of 2 no-shows, but you asked for 4 because it was was unfair you didn't get the chance to EARN the full 4 points. This set up lets you fight for the full points and makes it fairer IMHO

I appreciate what you are all saying about fighting (or not) for the 4 points but I have to point the lack of logic here.

You can only get 4 points by winning by knockout - If you have no competitors, you cannot knock them out thus can only earn 3 points by Judges decision.

Fair or not - It's the rules.

Any Idea who's gone? I so was enjoying my draws. *sniff*

True, however I personally beleive you should be given the CHANCE to earn 4 points. If 2 robots are tied on points and one of those 2 could gain an extra point by winning a fight via knockout and progress to the next round, I think they should be given the chance to.

well gents, the only way to ensure you get through is to win your fights then eh?

Thats easy for some to say, I will be lucky to get more than one fight! well at current rate of progress one fight would be good, still got weight issues.

Our system means nobody can score points without fighting Thats the fairest method. so not being able to get 4 points if your opponents arnt there isnt a problem
