Thanks for giving us the opportunity to show our stuff again. Some of those young drivers are very good!

      Re: 25th & 25th April 2010 - Robots Live Burgess Hill

Well, its finally over with after a very late night (i got back about about 3am, the truck about 5am).

Overall a great event even with all the problems we had; CO2 not arriving until 5.20pm on Friday (BOC saying that they will deliver on Monday!), the smallest crew possible (just 5 of us inc. my mum & dad!), then the truck not starting due to flat/duff batteries which held loading up last night and meant we didnt leave until gone midnight (and to top it off the truck hire place are trying to blame us and not giving us the deposit back!).

But, first of all a HUGE well done to the Alice guys, hardly ever won a fight before and the go and beat Iron Awe 5 in the final! Well done to all the other podium winners as well.

A thank you to Karoline and Mike for helping out, Ian and Mike with their army of robots entertaining the crowds between fights, Ed Hoppitt and Dave Gamble for once again doing another great job. Also a thanks to Ray for bringing Skeletron along, and contarary to rumours that have been circulating, is not receiving £1000's an event, ourselves and Ray were both insulted, and annoyed by the fact that people seem to be trying to cause trouble and rifts, i thought we were passed this and that we were all grown ups, if people do hear things and they have problems with it, please let us know, as none of them yet have been true!
Big thanks as well to Dave Weston (did i spell it right this time?) once again worked hard all weekend and it wouldn't of been possible without, and provided us with another piece of comedy gold on saturday night.

We'll almost certainly be back next year, and hopefully sorting out another event in October. See you all at Norwich, more details to come on that very soon, will be a very different event to what we've ever had.

ps Jonno, i'll get Ripper back when i get time to sort Merlin out

              Re: 25th & 25th April 2010 - Robots Live Burgess Hill

Boys and girls. Thanks for a GREAT Saturday. It was so nice to see and catch up with you all. Yes, I bitterly miss not having a bot, however, being part of a roboteering team does have concilations. I get to play WITHOUT having to work. Best all round for me eh? And the event it self was superb. Most enjoyable. Mike, Anne, Alan and Davids boyfriend did a great job followed by Dave and Ed supporting. A good event. Cheers.

Bums on seats is the name of the game and it looked like good figures there. Congratulations.

Gilbert and Robert, a HUGE thanks to you two for letting me play. It's a great robot (could do with a gyro!!!!) and so much fun to drive. However, I do think that Gilbert drives it better than I do. But great fun all the same.

As to Ray getting paid? Who cares if its rumours? It;s nobody elses bussiness is it? I know that he doesnt get paid. I myself have used Rays services many times in the past and I can vouch that he puts on a great show, is a great bloke who loves his sport / hobby so lets leave our noses out of his bussiness eh?

It was so good catching up with my old mate Ian W. MUST have that beer soon. Btw, your kids are all big now you old old man

Seeing and chatting to the new blokes with Dantomkia was good. Drop me a line lads and I will forward ALL info that I have on its build. Circuits, drawings and any other info that I have.

It's high time that Wierd Alice won. Congratulations lads. Well done. See, I told you so. I will expect my bribe and payment monies at the next event that I see you at.

Dinner Sat night was great. It was a shame that more of you couldnt go. However, David's boyfreind was a nice man. Can't wait to get to know him better.

Wendy and Clive, be sure to contact me when Alex does his stuff. Yes Wendy, I will stick to our deal. Alex will be taught one new trick per event. LMAO. Can't wait to teach him how to make nitro and blow up the toilet. In a few events time he's going to be taught the toilet and clingfilm gag!!!!

Bye for now and see most of you at one event or another.

              Best regards.

              Mike.

Sorry, just been told off. I forgot to mention my bring along tea lady. Cant forget her now can I? Thanks for the tea Denis.

Looks pretty boring to me. Wouldnt want to be in the crowd being entertained by a yellow wedge of cheese looking metal running round after an oversized puck.

Seeing a piece of cheese thrown oota would be more entertaining.
