Just got back and got everything into the house.
Clive, Wendy, Alex and Lawrie did you see that lass in the car that had drove up onto that small wall on the exit of the service station between the exit road and petrol station? how the hell did she do that?

No, we must've missed that one Tom!

Thanks to everyone who put the event on, very well organised I thought. Not a great event in terms of success for me, but I still had fun, and now I get to build a new heavy (RIP Anger). Massive, huge thanks to Clive and Wendy and Alex for ferrying me around/putting up with me etc. etc.

            Re: 27th & 28th Feb' 2010- Robots Live Whitwick

Big thanks to the RL crew a good weekend had by us all..Wendy appologises for snapping at two of you ( you know who you are) she feels really bad about it.Well done to all of the winners.
Thanks very much to all of my friends who convinced me to bring Stagefright out to play for the weekend. Was it a good idea? It sat on the bench for 2 days gloating as it watched: 1 x speed 900 die  , 1 x 24 volt nicad pack self destruct in a cloud of smoke  ( thanks John Bell, Pete Lale, Jonno and anyone elese that I have forgotten for your help), 1 x gearbox chew itself up in Tiny Toon  , 1 x fuse blow in a dx6  , 1 x dx6 fall apart when dropped by Alex  , 1 x wiring loom unsolder itself in 4 4 Toon  . If you see this robot on a bench at an event, set up beside us at your own risk. This robot is evil.

Thx to Robots Live, had a fab weekend.

Well stage fright is in my car, I didn't break down on the way home, and all of my tyres are still up ... So far so good.

4 weeks and counting till the fun begins again !!

Again a great day out playing with robots, Had lots of fun I was not feeling too good most of the day but could not miss the match with Big Nipper, brilliant win guys well deserved, looking forward to the video. Tron did not do much except trundle around the arena with no great desire to do much!
Many thanks to all at Robots Live for putting so much effort in organising such a well run and fun event. It was so good to see so many people there, we are looking forward to the next show.
I don€™t think I can make the show in 4 weeks time as family commitments make this difficult but hope to see you all soon.

Alex says thanks again though for his pressie it wont go to waste.

Thanks to everybody who attended we had some great fights over the weekend (anybody got a copy of the Merlin/Thor fight?). Well done to Iron Awe (AGAIN!!!!) for winner the heavies and Nipper for getting second, and for winning the feathers, although Little Hitter better watch out, Battleaxe has a long memory, upgrades are on the way!

Big thanks again to the crew for all their hard work, and cheers to John for lending us a couple of co2 bottles, luckly we didnt need them in the end. Thanks to the few that did donate towards the gas costs.

I need a week to recover! Then gear up for Burgess Hill in April.

Thanks Robots Live for a great event.

If anybody has got a video of the featherwieght final I would be grateful if they would put it on the forum.

Sorry Alan for the damage done to Battleaxe but I am sure if you hadnt have gone at Little Flipper with absolutely no provocation whatsover the way you did Graeme wouldnt have done the damage he did!

As for Little Flipper, i point to exhibit A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjbZg_13Ocg at 2 mins. I told you it had a long memory!

I lost drive on one side, thought he had cracked a PCB on the speedo, but think its just a connector come off, not had time tohave a good look yet.
