Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Congratulations on a great weekend,we had a good time allbeit costly due to high quality diesel not being compatible with my Citroen engine.
Well done Barbaric Response and Iron Awe,but particularly well done to Team Shock, Will And Matt taking first and second in the Featherweight final with the team mechanic and Roboteer chauffer Ian also making the final.(Thanks for the lift to collect my car)

Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Thanks to all the roboteers for making a great event, there was a good atmosphere in the pits with everyone mucking in to help everyone out. Everything went fairly smoothly although not a good event for cars and vans (Clive and Alan).
DB5 has resumed normal service of heading straight for the pit in competition fights, nevermind.
Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Thanks for a great event!
Also thanks from everyone from my school for letting them come along and try out their robots and despite a few trips on the arena flipper they all came out alive!
Well Done to Barbaric Response and Iron Awe for making the final (again! )
Also if anyone has a video of the featherweight final could you let me know- our camera stopped recording half way through for some reason.
Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Hi All
First of all a big thanks to all that attended, there were so many of you i didnt even get the chance to get a fight! Well done to our winners Barbaric Response and Aftershock. We had 3 great shows with some of the most entertaining fights i've seen, including; the 10 & 11 way melees, and the 20 way featherweight fights (it did keep me on my toes when arming/dis-arming the robots!), St Hammers escape from the pit during the semi-final and Ian Watts' farting robot!
Big thanks to the crew; Ed, Adam, Dave, Dave & Dave! Also a thanks to Mark for stepping in and doing a great job presenting the show, even if a few of our southern audience were abit confused by his 'northen' accent! We had a less than good start to the lead up to the event; Davids cars radiator broke and he had to hire a car, Mums car battery died and then my van blew up halfway down the M1 on friday with 25 sheets of MDF and the house robot in the back, and then Clive carrying on the problems with his test into combining diesel and petrol.
Plans are underway for the rest of the year and you'll be the first to know when they're sorted.
Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
This was an excellent event thanks the Robots Live Team and everyone who helped put on such an amazing show.the atmosphere and friendlyness between roboteers is outstanding. I cant wait for the next one, need a paint job 1st though. Thanks to alan for welding toxics flipper, I will have to make it super tuff for next time.
oh dont forget the dvd mike !
Has anyone put any videos on web yet ? I have done some and my brother will put them on website when he updates it this week.
Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
It was an outstanding event, as always, and I really enjoyed it. The crowd loved it too. In fact after I thought they were all gone, and I went to wheel Mike's boxing robots to the door for him, I found the boxers surrounded by people taking photos and had to wait 5 minutes before I could take the machines away. And it was great to see new robots. There was a crowd of feathers from a school and two more from people who had just decided that they wanted to build robots after seeing past competitions.
Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Forgot to say, one item of lost property believed to belong to the Iron Awe team, screwdriver set in yellow case. It was found near the far end of the pits down by where IA were.
Re: 28th & 29th March - Robots Live - Burgess Hill
Many thanks to the Robots live crew for all of their hard work and delivering another great event. Well done to Barbaric Response for taking the title but you're definitely going out of the arena next time.
