            Hey Tom,

I looked over Drumroll closely this weekend, dunno why the power cut out after your hit but you've successfully bent the 15mm Hardox tooth

Not majorly but you can definetly see the warp in it - well done

Drumroll's good to go for the tag champs technically, but I'm gonna rebuild/strengthen a couple of areas on it. Not sure if it'll be brushless at the tag champs, its scary on quarter-power and already faster than the Speed 900s but the controller and motor get hot quite easily so gonna have to have some serious coolage in there to cope

hey, jamie with that brushless i gave you you will need around 7/1 reduction give ya around 6krpm then, because on 24v the motor will be doing 42,000rpm lol, the current gearing you have on it the drum will be going 10,500rpm would be cool but might be abit too fast

Yeah I'll definetly need to up the ratio as the current 2.5:1 is too low for it. The most I can go however is 4.8:1 running at 19.2V as the smallest pulley is 10-tooth and its 48-tooth that's on the drum. Don't think I'll ever have it running at full speed as it could make driving almost impossible and the teeth probably just wouldn't engage.

Actually a quick calculation puts the top speed at 6600rpm not inlcuding friction losses etc on that 4.8:1 ratio so I might be able to crank it up full occasionally. Will certainly need to play about with/test it and find out what suits. Should make for interesting viewing though ( <- I got myself a new favourite emoticon)

Bah! everyones going brushless. Soon ill be the only one left with a brushed motor spinner, Unless... Ummmm maybe next year eh?

Don't worry, if the Speed 900s leave Drumroll, I intend on connecting them up to some other form of spinning metal

I think we can both testify to their effectiveness after last weekend

Drumroll is a far superior machine, The fight shouldnt have gone the way it did.
After the tag champs i cant see there been much left of Savage Evo, Kenny and Mouldy are going to destroy everything in site i think.

                          That sounds like Omega.
