Update - Sign Ups Now Live for Portsmouth - 05/09/08

Sign ups are now live for the Portsmouth Winter Tour Event. Remember you need to attend at least one of the qualifying events to get a chance to qualify to be in the top 10 or 12 to get to Maidstone Winter Tour Grand Finals. If you are NOT attending the Nottingham Event, then you must attend this event for the chance to qualify to get into the grand finals at Maidstone. (Remember you can still attend Maidstone for white board fights).

If you are attending Nottingham for qualifying rounds, you can still attend Portsmouth to increase your chances of getting points to attend the Grand Finals.

Details of the hotel and more are in the roboteers section. So go and log in and sign up now!

Please make sure you sign up all robots you wish to bring to the events.

Tickets are now on sale and as normal are selling fast for Portsmouth!

there is a lot going on a portsmouth this year. i am actually looking forward to it. planned social is so far meeting up in hotel bar and having a nice meal with trev and pat but i think the more the merrier. jason wants to hit portsmouth town and go on the lash but not this time for me i am afraid. still plenty of beer to be had at the hotel. anyone else fancy a few and make it a good old roboteer social?????

just to go out on the lash in portsmouth and hit the night clubs and drink loads od beer and then end up in a lift thinking its a toilet. i have to drive home too and its a long drive for me. also a proper social like in the olden days would be nice. those that dont drink can have a good time too then.

Sign ups close on Monday, so anyone thinking in coming need to sign up quick. Information email will be going out middle of next week.... with details on the new filming and media etc which will take place throughout the shows, mainly Saturday night show ready for the Sunday Shows.

Hi Guys,

Well, with over 45 robots attending, new arena changes nearly complete... this is going to be one hell of an event.

Im actually very excited !!!

Tickets are doing well, last PR push next week should top them up, and the saturday night looking good for a good social.

Now that ive seen how the arena looks in the flesh, the new format should be very exciting.
Although i think people may need to get some driving practice of driving back into the arena.... we havent done it since series 7 !!!

Of course there is going to be a lot going on, filming, new media, cameras all over the place, new format, new rules etc... so we are going to have to work together to make it work. There will of course most definately be some teathing troubles, all we ask is work with us and not against us so we can all move forward for 2009 !!

I am writing a new set of event rules which will include the rules about the flip out zone, getting back in etc... they will be sent / on the website next week for you to read and hopefully understand.

Feedback is paramount, and so if anyone has any questions, or concerns, then let us know so we can address them.
