Would love Beauty Kody. Luke wouldnt let me buy it though cos its pink.

Was a very good event I thought. I am dissapointed for DTK, it was awaesome for most of the event. Its one thing losing but your link falling out in the UK championsip finals? That just sucks!! That said, well done to Iron Awe 5.

Was a bit dissapointed with Hydra and just unfortunate the way it landed cos the ram pulled itself out and the flipper bent. Although we were almost not competing because of the weight. Spot on 100kg after taking off EVERYTHING i was allowed to take off. Swan did fall for the foot under the scales trick (lost 6kg that time).

just got home, had a good evening at the campsite, just wish to say congratulations to Iron Awe. thourghly enjoyed the fight, no excues the key should have been fitted better. Loved every minute of it, Jonno fantastic event.

Although my dad said we were going to retire, Dantomkia is going to stay and come back from what it now knows even stronger, look forward to the ret of this year and to see you all next year.

I still want that rematch Iron Awe.
I know you had a play afterwards with my dad driving, hes not as good as me, which was very obvious.

look forward to seeing you again.

It was -despite all the bad luck with the horrible weather- a terrific event. I mean, the atmosphere was there, that sizzling tickling buzzing were-gonna-get-there-till-the-Finals good old days feeling that I am so fond of in this sport. As well as the were-gonna-get-this-car-thru-tmuck feeling that I now cherish LOL. Jason, YOU DA MAN, DA CON-KEER-OR of DA MUCK !
Id say that this was a technically good championships, with not too many robots having technical problems (only 2 fights had to be postponed).
Well done to a robot that combined good engineering with good driving, although a self-removing-link is a nice thing to have in an opponent...
And well done to the crew of Roaming Robots, whom not even torrential rains could keep from trying to keep that arena up. (It stayed up.) And who are not to be downed by such trivial matters as the biggest airshow in Europe cancelling on the spot.

And oh man, that follow-the-leader game between the Spitfire and the Typhoon... ahhh, that was just icing on the cake. Plucky Spit.

Swanny, can you place that one on youtube? I would love to see that again. That and the F22 Raptor flying on Friday made my trip worth while on its own. The champs where a great bonus.

Big thanks to Jonno and the crew for a really good day yesterday. When we turned up on Friday in the pouring rain and heard that the airshow had been cancelled I was expecting that wed all be heading straight home again. Well done to Dantomkia for a really good performance, greatly improved on last year although obviously unlucky in the final to loose the link. My plan of tieing a piece of string between their link and my robot obviously worked

                    Rob

P.S. Sarah, happy to have a grudge match whenever you want just name the time and place!!

its only about 15 seconds of it cos when they started to fly round my jaw dropped and i stood in awe then realising i had my vid camera i rushed to get it just in time for about 20 seconds before they split and landed. i will try and get in onto my pc when i get home from work. never done vids to pc before either. mabee someone else vidded it.

Well done to Mr Grimm, a well deserved if lucky win! (up to the point Dantomkias link fell out it was ahead on points, I know, I was judging!)

Sarah, well done for a well deserved 2nd place, some exellent driving throughout the event.

But next time you feel the urge to launch a small robot from half way across the area towards the judges table at head hight... PLEASE warn me first!!

In addition, a BIG thank you to John and the RR crew for salvageing what turned out to be a real roboteers championship from a potential disaster!

After getting back and unloading the robot at 2am this morning its a good job Im not working today.

Shame about the Air Show being cancelled, but well done to roaming robots and all the roboteers who still made it happen. Nothing seemed to go right for us apart from the robot. Set off Friday morning, got 5 miles and had to turn back as the turbo didnt work as my Dad couldnt get the caravan up the hills. Luckily the garage fixed it and we were on our way a few hours late. Got to the campsite and a Land Rover tryed to pull the caravan on the field and failed, but with a tractor as well suceeded.

We were all disapointed when we hered it was canceled, but with a full extra day on saturday all the robots were well prepared for Sunday and no delays between fights all went very quickly.

Some really good battles on the day, best for us has got to be against Tiberious, been a while since we were that nervous against fighting anohter robot, every time that claw came down and just missied us I cringed. One day we will find out if that arm is powerfull enough to get threw our armour.

IA5 were on top form again as they have been all year, and made our driving look like amatures , well done, its been a long time in the waiting. Good to see DTK back on form again and the new hinged front and brillient driving by Sarah made them almost unbeatable.

One thing for sure is that roboteers dont make for a good audiance, but it carmed down when Angela got the armed police involved

Just a joke really, they were watching the robots for a while as they had nothing else to do! and certain unnamed roboteers were heckling Angela while she was on the mic
