ive gota modify the front axles in 360 and find a way to mount the 2kg block of steel ive had to put in the back to get it upto the weight limit Make a craddle, Then pinch a few bolts from work to put in the odd panel and then im all done

Should probably test it better, but that would be boring.

I think either beauty or Little flipper are going to win

I need to loose 400 grams but I have all ready shaved 400 grams and recorn I can do it. I have a whole other side that I need to work on. I also could replace the front scoop with an ali one.

Anoyed that the robot is completly finished expet all this weight reduction work. But it will be worth it to have have it in the weight limit.

Pete Lale: I have the spektrum RX that shane has in his AW if you need that.

Also, Satanix is going to be practically re-build at the event, as I am getting my new motors at the event. I can still run with my existing ones, but for the UK champs Id rather not.

        Other improvements are:
New front wedged peices (So I can actually get under stuff)
        4mm Steel Lid
5 Steel spikes on the back

Am I a bit naive in assuming that you normally have fully built and tested robots by the time you arrive at the event then? :P

              Not at all Joey
I used to think that robots had to be 100% operational when they turned up and I still try to stick to that by making sure that my machine runs 100% finished at home before heading to the event. Probably the reason why I always have last-day stressful builds because Im trying to get all the loose ends tidied up on the bots.

But if I have to take an unfinished bot to an event its always reassuring to see that there are three or four other robots there that need either as much work or more than mine to get them running

Hornet 2 is running and I am happy with it (fingers crossed) and sting needs some new speedos and a small bit of wiring done. We are leaving at around 5:30ish so have a fair bit of time left.

Both discs are running well so I hope everyone has used their 1.6kg of hardox well!

Anyone got a couple of strips of 3-4mm HDPE around 600mm long and about 50mm wide? Or polypropelene? One of my polycarb self-righting hoops snapped when I tested it (too brittle and probably overbent) so Id be looking for something less brittle to replace it but dont have anything lying around. Anyone able to help at all?

Ill be leaving in an hour or so, so wont be able to check the forum after that, so if anyone can help then just come and find me at the event.

                        Cheers,
                        Jamie

Indeed no Tony Booth and no Tony Fowler either unfortunately.

Hannibalito 3 only got a new flipperarm because the old one bent, the rest is still the same as before. 12.4kg with gas.

Jamie, Im cutting your pieces of 4mm HDPE. They wont be pretty, but will work.
