  • Heavyweight invertable wheels

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has advice on sources of good, reasonably priced wheels suitable for an invertable machine? Or making good, reliable ones. At least 10" Diameter. The best choice I've found is the Ampflow 10" High-Traction Drive Wheels from rapidonline.com, but they are extremely expensive for the 4 I need.

    Thanks,
    Jon (Weapon of choice)

Go kart wheels/tyres are pretty good, great traction. There's usually a good number going second hand on ebay. The actual wheel itself can crack though as they're pretty much all cast.
People use the foam filled trolley wheels too which are the same diameter, not used them myself though.

Thanks for the advice! I'll look into both options.

The foam filled solid wheels don't have great grip. An easy way around this is to screw bike tread onto the outer rim of the tyre.

Just to add, all the go kart tyres I used in PP3D, crossfire and 008 were all free from a local karting track. They have to pay to dispose of them so me taking a bunch saved them money. I used an inner tube but in future I would foam fill them.
