  • Solder pad has come off...

Hey guys, been busy lately, and after a small 'incident' with one of my ants at weekend, Ive been frantically shedding weight off my old test mule to make it competition ready... now the question...

I have fitted a Dasmikro 2s6a ESC to replace the horrible cheapy china ones, and after stripping it out for it's diet have found a solder pad flapping freely... So, does anyone with any more experience of these know if I throw a resistor inline as a bodge could I bypass the BEC function without frying anything? I'll be shaving 2s LiPo down to 4.5-6v... I can't see any reason why not, but I'm entered in Botfest this coming weekend and don't have time to wait for any parts I destroy trying.

    Many thanks in advance.

After much faffing and some rather coarse language, it seems that; Yes, yes you can. There as electrically similar as expected.

Unfortunatly this discovery came *after* ordering more parts... ah well, more ants it is!

I'll leave the thread up incase anyone else needs it in future.
