New to the Forum and building Real Robots

Hi there, my name's Chris, I'm currently a student hoping to become a palaeontologist. I've been a huge fan of Robot Wars since I was a kid, I was ecstatic when I heard of its return, and robot building has always peeked my interest as a hobby, so much so that I play the game Robot Arena 2 pretty much every day to build virtual robots in the hopes that I can someday build real ones, and there is one of these robots that I have set as the goal in terms of robot building, I call it Saturnalia.

I look forward to learning about the sport and to one day be building my own robots (I intend on starting pretty soon thanks to that new book)

Hey Chris, welcome to the forum!

I recommend looking around the build diaries for guidance on how to build a robot (especially in the Featherweight class), they'll help reveal what works and what doesn't when building and then competing with a robot.
