Hi Folks,
As the old man of our team I mainly design using chalk and slate.My 11yo son however is looking for recommendations for Robot design CAD software that he
could use.
What would you guys recommend he could use and that I might have a chance of understanding?

At school the kids generally use Autodesk Inventor so I would go with that as it will also help with their DT studies. They also benefit from an education license so you get it for free.

Solid edge is a decent freebee for kids too.

Fusion 360 is Autodesk's shinier offering. Lots of good guides and its pretty full featured.
