    Roaming Robots 2005 Winter Tour

They wouldnt have to organise the event or set up the competition.

Ed I think that Julian was deliberately simplifying the problem to high light the fact that they wouldnt have to organise the event.

You could as easily say that an arena would just have to be set up and robots thrown in to battle.

I think what ed is saying is:
If its that easy do you not think they would do it?

There are things like lighting, sound, wages, crews, training, canteens for crew etc the list goes on. Dont be fooled although somethings look simple they arnt always.

There would be a lot less for the BBC to do than Mentorn had.

Julian there are contacts and legal things and copyright with robot wars or robot combat and the BBC. BBC have no interest mate. Dont worry, im sure Roaming Robots and XFM and so on are trying their hardest to get this back on the screens. Its just a slow road at the moment. We have to build our selves up first.

Anyway back on topic, only 1 more day left until the Winter Tour Details are launched - and make sure you all sign up before the 12th September.

I dont think the BBC will ever do it again, even though the woman that pulled the plug on it has now left, but the satellite channels shell out £8000 per episode to Mentorn, just for repeats!!! I can hardly believe that there isnt a proper television production company out there that couldnt make a programme and sell it to them.

It still comes down to cost. For a broadcaster its certainly cheaper showing a rerun than commissioning a new series let alone making one.

Will TerrorHurtz be the first robot to retain a crown since Chaos 2 did in series 4 and 5?

Last time I checked it was series 3 & 4

Oi... whats that about Mute being a mess from the last winter tour???? Thats a load of bull poo, Mute was running after the final last year just with a few extra dents and a self ejecting link....

Nothing wrong with Mute that a current limited speedo (which needs to be smaller than 8x4.5x2 and survive a LEM-130) and a un-melted LEM wont fix.

And before someone says it, we didnt blow the speedos up, its just that the current limit is a bit high and seems to be melting our LEMs... for the 3rd time!

And an Un-Melted £750 Lem. LOL! Ok fair enough.

I personally dont think those comments are fair, the only thing true about that write up is Mute took a serious pounding from Terrorhurtz in the final. The serious pounding resulted in a few large dents that a big hammer fixed.

Mute was alive and kicking for Brighton in Feb 2005 which was well after last Winter Tour final.
