  • 24v 360rpm motors on ebay

Just came across these UK made 5600|15:1|360 rpm motors on ebay.

They look really well priced at £20 and seem better quality and value than Chinese models, but how useful would a 360 rpm motor be? on 120mm wheels that's ~5mph

Worth a punt or not really robot material?

Not robot material at all :-P Those have encoders fitted by the look of it, and they won't have anywhere near the required power.

You are much better off buying 2 £20 drills from Argos or BnQ and removing the gearbox/motor unit. There are several videos online about how to do this.

Or bite the bullet and buy two Rangebox gearboes, either the Saturns or Neptunes and never need to buy a new pair ever again.

That's a shame, I liked the idea of British made and having lots of spec sheets.

I have the motors for my current bot anyway so this would have just been for a future project.

The Ranglebox Gearboxes are designed by Ellis Ware, captain of the team that built Pulsar. He is very much British, and can provide you with all the spec-sheets under the sun if you so need
