  • Transmitter/Reciever behaving oddly

Hi, (now) I'm having some troubles with with my tx/rx.

If I plug the ESC plugs into the receiver into Aile and Elev:
    1) forwards and backwards is on the right stick,
    2) but right and left are on the left stick.

So in an attempt to get all the controls on one stick I pulled out the plug in Aile and put it into Rudder.

However, now from the ESC I now get:
    1) 14v-28v unless the right hand stick is pushed fully to the left (then it reads 0V)
    2) And the other ESC output is dead- a constant 0V

Doesnt' make a lot of sense to me! I tried it with a second receiver and had the same result. Any thoughts?

I'm going to have a little crack at this, although I'm sure there are folks here who know way more than me.

Which Transmitter are you using? Does it have an option to switch between "mode 1" and "mode 2". The difference between these is the throttle and elevator controls switch places on the transmitter, which some people prefer. Could you have accidentally changed it?

If you want the controls on the right stick, which it what I use at the moment, I have mine plugged into Aile and Elev, mode 2, with delta mixing on. (I have a Spektrum DX5)

Hopefully I've not misunderstood and been a complete tool.

      Hi, thanks for the reply!

The DX5e- same as you! Although I dont think that is the problem, I think it WOULD fix the problem!

I'm off to have a go now!

YOU LEGEND. Spot on. As if Spektrum hide a switch to change over all the controls behind 11 screws. I'd never have worked that out. Humblest thanks.

Ahh, I was about to post to point out that it is hidden on this transmitter yes, so well done finding it! Awesome, I'm pleased to be of some use!

I've found the DX5e to be a pretty good transmitter so far, I got mine 2nd hand from Ebay, as Spektrum seem quite popular with people on these forums, although I've not really had anything else to compare it to.
