What is a good rpm range for a beetle vertical disc spinner of 3 - 400g in order to get a good bite of the opponent and sent it flying with a hit?
I will be using a NTM brushless motor and it will hit 19.000 rpm so I need to know which gearing to go for.

    Thank you.

For a decent bite and consistent hits, i would say between 6k and 10k RPM sounds good

Quite Funny because I was modeling with the Fingertech 9T / 26T in my CAD model. So Seems perfectly guessed. Thanks man

In the range of 6 - 10K Would Lower RPM and higher weight be better than higher rpm and lower weight or same weight?

What seems to be the best result people have?

Speed seems to be the essential, but again it can't be too high..

I think going higher than 10k, you would get a few good hits but not as many, in my opinion

I stick to around 10-12k max rpm, on a wedged vert you'll get good engagement at the higher rpm's but you might struggle to get a bite on something without a wedge going that fast.

It depends on the number of teeth on the weapon as well, not just speed. In fact the fast you go the less bite you get.

If its single tooth, gear it for 10'000rpm, but unless someone is ramming you that is still to fast to engage. If you are in close, dropping it down to half throttle (which with increasing resistances at high speed means around 6000rpm real world) which will be much better.

If its a dual tooth weapon, then gear it for ~8'000 and be prepared to run it at a slower speed to get engagement.
