Trying too remove a brake from a mobility scooter motor. I removed cap and attached pics of what was underneath. I then used a impact gun to remove nut but now im unsure what i do next. Any help would be great as bit out of my depth here!!

I have just wired the motor directly to a 12v battery and it seems to turn ok. So is the brake now disconnected with what ive removed?

When the brake is disconnected it will slide off the shaft and you can throw it away. The two thin wires that connect to it should be cut and removed. Often the brake will not slide off because it is held in place with a grub screw - you need to remove it.

Thanks for reply john. Do i need to remove that end casing that all wires go into in pic? What is the part i removed do you know? It was just a metal disk with those springs behind it when off.
