Help needed wiring up RX

So it's Gimson motors, botbitz tz85, dx5e. I've wired it up, it functions fine accept forward is pushing the stick to the left, back is right etc. so my question is how do I get it to push up and go forward?

Switch the rc channels

Tried all of the above, no joy I can switch it so right is forward and left is back, just not the forward being forward

switch the wires on one motor.

No you need to switch the rx cables around , so find the two channels and swap them, ie swap the 2 tz85 cables around. I pressume you are using a mixer if left is forward or it would be a diagonal input

What Harry said. If pushing the stick to the left is forwards, then swap the wires on the left-hand motor when looking at the robot from the rear. This means that when you push the stick left, the robot will now go to the left. Whether pushing the stick forwards actually now makes your robot go forwards is another matter, but basically all you can do is trial and error. Just swap motor wires and servo connectors around until you get the right combination.

Oh and channel reversing is another parameter to play with. So if left and right are fine, but forwards is back and back is forward etc, just flip the channel on the DX5e.
